Yet! I wasn't aware of the various sub-species, thanks for pointing it out. Gives me good reason to pay more attention to this very common bird. Mousehound
Another frequent visitor to this blind in KKNP. Lesser Necklaced Laughingthrush. I think it is, hard for me to pick between Greater and Lesser. Great bokeh and a really nice pic all around. The Greater has the pale cheek patch but this pic also shows the distinct pale bill tip of the Lesser LT, and although skin colour can be problematic - especially with juv. birds I think I would use this as a pointer to which was which.

Popular Post TP1
This is a very cheeky bird that can talk. Although he/she was mumbling in an incomprehensible language, managed to say Hello after 10 minutes of teaching. Then it started whistling at me in a very cheeky way...............

Popular Post villagefarang
These Open Billed Storks are a relatively new addition to our valley. They have only recently taken to resting right next to our house but as soon as they spot me they are gone. This is my best shot so far, taken a few minutes ago.
TP1
Mr Chonburiram, what are these birds? I know you are the right person to ask. They remind me of the film where cheeky Beetlejuice threw the powder on the head of the man waiting on the queue and shrank it.
