Helping my girlfriend buy a small home. We went to Bank of Bangkok. The bank person told me she did not to have income to get a loan. 20% down and show 6 months payments in bank account. Anyone else ever hear of something like this. Sounds odd to me.

Yes, another thread on it right now. Not odd since if you break up they're stuck with a loan that she can't pay on. Can't think of any bank that would loan on that situation in the US or anywhere else. Some hard money lenders will do this and charge appropriate rates, but not banks.
