He actually has the last of the season mangos in Aus so his mangos fetch a good price. where he is growing is way south from where they will naturally grow hence the good price,But hard work! The rope that you can see crossing the river is actually rigged to a winch and has a cradle (now in the middle of the raft) and is used for sending bags of food down to the raft and for bringing fish up to the roadside.A clever system that I have seen used before,it certainly beats trying to climb down the steep river bank with heavy bags of fish food and the neigh on impossible task of bringing the harvested fish up the bank to the roadside. My apologies folks if this photo is far too big for some of your monitors. Seeing as it will be the last post on this page I hope it won't cause too much annoyance. Just checked on google and it appears to be that they take 6-10 years to bear fruit and ten to fifteen years to reach full production.That probably depends on the variety and growing conditions.I'm not really bothered.I just like the look of the trees.
