Popular Post TP1
Yesterday, I visited an agriculture centre, belonging to the government, near Khon Kaen As I was told they grow up plants and give them free to the farmers to help them expanding their planting varieties. My Thai, is not very good so I have to go next time with my g/f, so I can understand more about the project. Sounds very interesting. Did you notice any Dragon Fruit cuttings there as I am looking for the yellow skin variety, Have heard that some had been seen in the Khon Kaen area some time ago. Sorry Ron, haven't been on this thread for sometime now and I missed your question. I didn't see any fruit trees when I was there, but next time I visit them I will ask. Here's some recent photos.

Wouldn't call that hay, cattle would get more nutrients chewing cardboard. Edited October 30, 2015 by Ron19

Popular Post villagefarang
Up on Wawee a couple days ago I looked down from my viewpoint and captured this farmer tending a rather wild garden on the side of the mountain. It looks like coffee but I couldn't make out the berries from where I stood.

Popular Post Ron19
Have to say that I have no idea what this setup is for although there is a bore underneath. Update to this and what they are installing looks like some kind of wind turbine to drive the pump, lifting it up to store the water in the dump bin. I feel they are making a mistake because the wind up here is negligible most of the time and the area that is under crops would require much more water than this setup could deliver. Also the stands are very flimsy, I would doubt if they would stand a strong wind which we can get sometimes
slapout
#Whatever its intent is, keep us posted, please,. Even with your wind turbine theory and other hints you have mentioned, this old cooger does not have a clue as to how or for what purpose they are erecting this, for lack of a better term, unusual piece of work. I can harly wait to get the story on its use and if successful.
