The 3 pictures you see here, took me about 15 minutes to set up (I'm still experimenting, will take a lot lesser time once I'm familiar with it)... To get my desired vertical height in Panorama, i mark the ground on a start-stop angle°. For the camera on my phone...At 180° i won't get a good height and i thought 120°, the angle of our eyes sight, the height would be fine. Dancealot
There's only one thing i don't get about panorama shots in general. In very crafty way an extra dimension is added to a plain photo. The thought of being able to look left and right from the center of the picture and then imagine you are really looking around. Why glue them together and try to make the border lines dissappear? Popular Post shaggy1969
A quote from Goompa.............. "Where I see a boundary is that the photos I have pertains to the life of the farm . When Shaggy started this thread it was the same , live the farm , live the dream" I have noticed just recently that some of you have commented about the quality of the photos being posted and that you would try and do the same..........Why? The photos that you guys are posting are just perfect........Why? Why, because they come from the heart and the heart being your farm.I think every single one of them are brilliant. When I first started this thread it was to show what I had made and I was damn proud of it,just the same as you are now. There was no thought of framing, cropping or adjusting the photo. Why should I ? I loved everything that was in the photo....pig shit'n'all.

Why should I ? I loved everything that was in the photo....pig shit'n'all. I have to agree. We took the photo originally because, at the time, it spoke to us. We wanted to capture and remember that moment. We then wanted to share that moment. Sometimes that shared moment has only an audience of two ... ... the photographer and the subject. Sometimes the photo has a much wider audience. Some photos, like certain images from VF bounce out of the screen and have that WOW factor. Some photos, like shaggys Tractor photo below, draw you in ... Technically, not exacting ... but for empathy and encapsulating the warmth of that moment ... a favourite still of mine. Photos are what they are Capture what they capture What's important is that they are shared. . Edited October 5, 2013 by David48
Popular Post David48
Speaking of sharing ... Sometimes Farm life extends to Family life as they are often integrated. This child belongs to the daughter of my gf's Aunt ... distant bloodline, but due to the living arrangements at the Farm, the child is Family. Sometimes, just sometimes, you are able to capture that rare photo ... ... a photo with Soul. Then sometimes ... the planets align, you have the trust of the subject and good lighting conditions and ... ... how can you say no! I didn't know the right opportunity to post this ... but shaggy's discussion above was the catalyst. .
Dancealot
There I dug up my first personal photo I posted on Thaivisa. Taken from my old thread I made in Europe. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/603662-adapting-to-be-able-to-live-at-the-farm/ Crappy picture? Duh!... Forget about that. The picture means something to me and it made me feel better to share this with people who might relate. I got great support and encouraging from members I have "grown accustomed" to, now. Thank you all. Edited October 5, 2013 by Dancealot
Popular Post shaggy1969
Had to think whether or not to post these ones, the mode of transport isn't quite what you would call safe. They look a lot more muscular than the normals breeds we see. You seem to see them roaming around a lot more in the north (Pai area, at least) than one sees in the south!) I am not sure what they are called... seems to me they are more like the ones you see in pictures from India.? Popular Post RedBullHorn
Cool weather this morning and the ATV's battery was weak. No problem, just bring out the portable generator. A quick boost for about 5 minutes and I'm back on track to the farm. One of my farmhand rushed back to check what's the delay as the 2 of them were waiting in the farm...
