Popular Post Dancealot
Keng suffered from a bad skin desease last year. Hair loss and empty patches on his skin. He looked horrible but after a good doggy bath/shower and some mediacation he was healed.

(seen on a street) That's a disturbing image, Jimmy.. I couldn't agree more DAL.Totally sickening I would like to meet the person what did that and see if they like both of their arms being twisted out of their sockets. That makes me so angry seeing things like that. teletiger
Anyone know what this guy is risking life and limb for? It may look benign, but that water was flowing fast. The Ping river in semi flood. He's under the bridge in the last pic. Regards.

Very dangerous thing to try and attempt to do in a flooding river. I have also seen it done with a hand held lantern net on a river in full flood. Sometimes I count my lucky stars that I fish for pleasure and not for necessity.
Popular Post RedBullHorn
As promise Shaggy. Replace the grass panel roofing with new ones after 6 and a half years, add a new extension with metal sheet panels. The wife wasn't happy that i still want grass panels, she wants the whole roof to be metal sheets. I said one thing at a time dear, next year I'll fulfill your wishes. Actually it is me~ I just like the rural feel of living in the stick. "It's not like you can't affort... " She mumbled, "I like them shinny...not woody..." Popular Post shaggy1969
Learning to plow with RT 100 iron buffalo (1) The same day that we went to help Uncle Na Pung plant his rice he noticed that I was checking out his tractor. He asked me if I had ever worked with one before......I said "I hadn't but would like to try". With a cheeky little grin on his face he looked at me and said "come on then, let's get started" Firing the old girl up Attaching the plow

I tell you true mate,I would give this man the keys to anything that I have,he really is a Diamond. He is the kind of guy that would help you out at a moments notice without even thinking twice. 'Feel thankful he even polluted you with the exhaust'........I understand what you mean by that (I think) Luckily enough for me I have earned my place in his heart and have managed to gain his trust and respect by being me.When I am back home I promised him that I would help him harvest the rice we planted and he promised to let me take his buffalo for a road test If you are ever in our area I will gladly arrange a lesson and a days plowing for you......but the beer is on you and LOTS of it
Popular Post shaggy1969
(4)Last set of photos from my plowing lesson After chewing on with the tractor for a couple of rows I stopped for a ciggie break and to take in some much needed water. A couple more handy tips from Uncle a change of hat and I was ready to get back plowing. At the end of the day when the rice was planted and the field was plowed I was shattered, not only from the work I had done but also the heat and the burning sun being on me all day.It also taught me a lesson in humility, all my life I have grafted and have never been afraid to get my hands dirty........but that one days work at my Uncles place taught me an even more higher level of respect for Thai farmers and what they need to do just to make a living and in some cases just to survive. Full credit goes to the wonderful Mrs Shaggy for taking the photos of me with the tractor
