One of the first light-hearted stories of 2013 took a very disturbing and serious turn involving a civil servant with a non-existent birthday and a disgraced minister that made a fool out of himself with an unbelievable rant, not without consequences.

Amazing news , politiican throws hissy fit due to being unable to get own way

Its actually quite distubing reading the translations over a simple admin error, but gives a good insight into the disproportionate responses Thai nationals come out with over the simplest things....ie simple/minor arguements and someone comes back and kills the "other person", someone cuts infront of someone in a car and guns are out etc etc, even the Range Rover Temper tantrum thing....

Apparently on this forum we are not allowed to point out how Thai authorities are unable to use common sense. Should we just say the Interior Minister knows best?

Many people from the northern hilltribes don't know their birthdays, so Thai officialdom has come up with a simple solution..... January 1st for all! (I've seen the documents to support this)
