Bank Book Activity Date

Went to do the mariage extension and was told I had to have my bankbook activity on the same day as the application as opoposed to the 2 days prior like all the other times was ok, . she said it was some new rule so be aware. She took my aplication and let us drop off the photocopys later that morning and all was well. Not sure it's actually a new rule , weather of not other places enforce it ect ....... just telling you what happened

Could you please advise where? Can make a big difference. Bangkok has required this for several years now but they have banks directly below the immigration office so very easy to do.

Ahhhhh it's creeping outwards ! The Bangna office , their are a few banks at the market area nearby which is where we went I noticed TMB and mine is Kasicorn they might have a couple more as well but didn't notice.

It wasn't far but not especially close or convient either.

Bangkok usually asks you to get an ATM receipt from down below. This has been normal for a couple of years.

20 years in dealing with various ministries I never had them come straight out and ask for a bribe.

This is the way they do it. Dream up some petty excuse as to why they can't perform their duty.

You are getting jerked around and don't even know it.

I can not speak for an event 5 months ago (any more than you can) but as I posted it has been normal procedure at Bangkok for some time due to the convenience of banks to the office and has nothing to do with any bribes.

It was required at Mae Sai some years ago.,I now deal with Chang Saen.

The town has most major banks TMN Krug Thai Kasikorn SCB etc but they are very long walk or a difficult park as they ae all near the border
