Yme
Karma's a bitch when it bites you on the arse. This is the same person who said a sexual assault on a tourist last year couldn't be called rape because she had dinner with her attacker. Obviously a man of impeccable morals and ethics. Given the number of times he changed political sides to hold on to the post of Minister for Tourism I'm surprised "doing a Silpa-archa" hasn't entered the Thai political term lexicon.
TheGhostWithin
I don't know this guy, but it appears he was a popular guy, all 'round! Who will be the new deputy PM? There aren't many of Yinglucks' relatives left who are not already in high ranking positions? Are we going to get competition over who gets to buy the new job? If he was the same member who stated that the woman could not have been raped because she had dinner.. well, maybe being silenced will mean one less person to say such things. GentlemanJim
Isn't it about time that politicians had a mandatory retirement age. These guys are so desperate to cling to power, just how many new ideas, innovations and energy can a 72 yr old bring to a 'Ministry'. The Thai political system is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to hide a system akin to the Medieval Baronial Feudal system In the British Middle Ages. The desperation to cling to power for these families is overwhelming, and for what? He will lie and burn in his box the same as the next man.
