Blood Test Labs In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I'm looking for labs that you can walk in to in Bangkok to get standard blood tests done - normally they are cheaper and quicker than the hospitals.

Any suggestions?

Depending on the blood test, then the cheapest place would be the Red Cross clinic, down near Silom. After that, then there are numerous small clinics that do blood tests and vaccinations very cheaply (again depending on the test, in my experience they range from B50 - B100 per test for the common ones such as FBS, Lipids etc), but you may have to wait a few days for the results. Failing that, you can try one of the non-profit hospitals such as St. Louis or Christian etc. Next in price are the private hospitals such as Sukumvit Hospital, Srikarin, Piyamin etc, until finally the most expensive places such as Bumrungrad, BNH, Samitivej etc

As per the above the Red Cross place is excellent, cheap as well.

You can get the results on the same day depending on what you want to be tested for.

Went for my work permit tests today. I first went to the Red Cross by Lumpini Park, first hoping for cheap and hassle free. It's cheap, but the hassles of going to different buildings for different tests, and the time waiting for the results; 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (if all goes well) don't add up. The cost is 520 baht.

I then went to St. Louis Hospital on Sathorn. It is a non-profit hospital that I have been to before. I walked in at 9:00 am had all my tests done in one office by 10:00 am. Was given a receipt and told to come back at high noon. I came back at 11:30, picked up my confirmation documents and was finished. The cost was 580 baht.

60 baht well spent!

Answer for the above post:

Yes different locations for different things at Red Cross, but for blood tests in the same building, which answers the question posed by the OP.

I used to use the little clinic near my condo for WP medical
