russia-53.jpg

Bang Saray:--On Wednesday Police were called to an area of woodland in the Bang Saray area in Sattahip District to investigate reports of a foreign man who was discovered hanging from a tree.

Police arrived and inspected the body of the man who was carrying a Russian driving license in his pocket under the name of Mr. Rakhman Reynart aged 26 from Ukraine. Close to the body was a motorbike which had been rented in Pattaya from the Tappraya Car Rental company based in Jomtien by Mr. Reynart.

A piece of rope had been tied to the tree and the noose had been tied around the neck of the victim whose face was covered by a shirt.

Maybe a romance which turned sour , thai girlfriend or boyfriend in fact being a hooker , you never know .... some people are fragile in their heads, he was young and thought romance in pattaya is real ... who knows .. RIP

People with a mindset of taking their own life care nothing about appearances. Anyone really think this guy put his shirt over his own head? Ukraine people are also very strong minded so doubtful anything here would have cause him to take his own life. Of course it would be speculation to say his nationality would indicate criminal activities - after all most of the Russian and Ukraine people in the Pattaya district are enjoying their tourist pursuits.

I'll say.

Is it really necessary to publish close-up pictures like that, Mr Miller?

I didn't find them disturbing...but reality, including death, doesn't bother me.

I don't find the images particularly disturbing, but then again I'm not the deceased young man's mother or farther, or his brother or sister, whom I think would find the images incredibly disturbing, and probably (without doubt) have to live with those images until their dying day!!!

There is absolutely no need whatsoever for such close up shots of the young man to be splashed all over the internet in the name of Pattaya journalism (or not???). Once again Pattaya's reporters (no matter which of the supposed NEWS organisations they work for) manage to show they can still hit all time lows. The lot of them really are diabolical, unfeeling cretins IMHO!!

RIP young man

Couldn't agree more - the Pattaya English language press has been scraping the bottom of the barrel for ages now and are a disgrace.

So someone would go to such a remote location and go to all that trouble to commit suicide? Come on you so-called journalists wake up!

1 thing i always find amazing with this stories, is the amount of people, including police, rescue, on lookers walking around the crime scene and no sign of any forensic investigators. Who might arrive later, but what exactly would they find after a hurd of people has been destroying the crime scene.

RIP buddy

Caution about disturbing images are meant for the general population. Including the family.

The shirt covering the face, does sound kind of suspicious.

Especially as he is wearing his shirt. maybe a spare shirt in case he wanted to change. I think not.

There was a warning and nobody was forced to open but you did

And the noose is outside the second shirt. Either a real neaet freak or he has become the victim of foul play...which I think is the most likely case. Why would you go to a field to do this when there have been many cases of people acheiving the same result in a shower? Something is very amiss here. Hopefully a post mortem may determine the facts (farang death?-hardly likely methinks)

the noose is so poorly and faulty knotted, it comes to my mind that only a Thai 'knotwork specialist' would be able to fail at this ! Shirt over the face (?) and then jump blindly off the motorbike seat, then police must have found foot marks matching his on the motorbike seat, but no mention of it. Anyways, how did he get up that tree to fix one end of the rope securely ( it looks like a well trained Thai coconut picker actually did it!). Climbing by himself should have at least left rashes on the inside of his hands. I don't buy the 'apparent suicide' story, sorry BIB, but you have failed, again, obviously, back to school please!

seems like a lot preperation to hang oneself to climb up that tree and tie a rope then put hood over your head and then climb on a motorbike to jump of it

dont seem right here maybe only maybe he messed with the wrong people

im sure the truth will come out some where one day

If this was a Russian Mafia killing, it seems strange the victims rental bike was found next to the tree and also strange they left him with all his ID. This case is going to be a hard one to crack I guess. I also don't think the Thai police are capable of getting it right.

I would be nice if this forum had a follow up story section, so curious people can know what happened. For example what happened to the RedBull/Ferrari cop killer? is he in prison today, anyone really know?
