Thai Sso Refund

Featured Replies

Hi to all,

My wife able to pay only 6 months in Thai SSO insurance under private company then she resigned because of giving birth I heard that she can claim for a refund if she have 7 months contribution in SSO, I know that if you able to pay 6 months you can continue paying it by becoming voluntary or paying it by your own pocket.

Now she have a new teaching job but teacher is not allowed to have Thai SSO but we wanted to continue with this insurance company because of good service assurance.

She started paying Feb.2012 until June 2012

My question is will she able to claim a refund if she will continue paying her contribution and how many months does she needs to pay?

Best regards,

R

You can continue paying on your own after you've been in the system 12 months.

For getting money back, I think there are time and age requirements.

The amount of time in the system is in years, not months, and you don't get it all back.

50 or 55 is how old you must be, but am not sure of the exact age.

Suggest you look at the SS Act for details. There should be info available in English on the net.

Of course, she could always ask her questions at the SS Office. I've always found them helpful. Take a Thai speaker with you - in my experience.
