Water Filtration For Drinking Water

Featured Replies

I seen previous topics.

I have an Amway unit ... not really my choice when it was bought five years or so ago. It costs me around 4500Baht to run each year (replace UV/filter unit and tubes). Now I have to replace the control bit which is 2100Baht plus service charge ... suppose that I'm going to have to do this. However I was wondering what others use in the Bangkok Area ... only really interested in those that get tap water direct from the mains as we do. I don't use my storage tank and pump (I leave the pump switched off) as mains pressure is good. I do drop some bleach into my storage tank now and again just to kill whatever might grow in there and dump the water later onto the garden.

I think all that is needed is a UV unit and a carbon filter ... so what do you guys think/use. I don't want softened water and I will only connect the unit to one tap... thanks

I use the Amway one, e-spring, probably same one as you. I'm still happy with it after about 5 years and as far as I'm aware I've never been sick from the water we drink, which is the main thing.
