Hotel Budget + Near American Embassy

My wife is going for her visa interview .. Can anyone recommend a clean reasonably priced hotel nearby?

Just to be clear, the US does not have an Embassy in Chiang Mai. It's a consulate. Make sure the interview is at the US Consulate in Chiang Mai and not the US Embassy in Bangkok. A friend of mine recently told me his wife was going for her spouse visa and that they had to go to Bangkok. If the appointment is for Chiang Mai the Prince is a good hotel.

Try the Federal Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11. www.federalbangkok.com I think you can still get a decent room on the ground floor for around B1000.

Emb is very close to BTS=skytrain, so about anything along it should do the trick. In THAt area close by there are no cheapies. Suk 11 is about 2-2,5 kms away-far too far to walk for any Thai.
