Having been down the Visa trail with my wife for over 5 years (Tourist Visa, Schengen, FLR, ILR, Citizenship), I now know how she must have felt.

As I was arrested 13 years ago, I am ineligible for the ESTA and am therefore required to apply for the B-2 Tourist Visa.

The boot is now firmly on the other foot as she is a British Citizen (give or take 2 weeks) and will hold a passport at the time of travel.

I have had to contact police agencies for a copy of my ACPO Cert, fill out and scan numerous forms, pay a fee of $160, day off work, train & hotel bookings.

Lets hope its worth it!
