Non Visa Required

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm from Argentina and checked in the Thai consulate here and they said that in order to visit Thailand ,Argentinian passport because of some Agreements signed within the two countries (same as Brazil or Peru) do not need visa and the time allowed to stay for tourism is 90 days the only requirements is a yellow fever certificate (which I have) and a copy of the e/ticket departing from Thailand my question are the following:

1) when I arrive at BKK they will stamp the passport for 90 days as said in the consulate?

2) If I choose to stay more than the 90 days , can I make an extension?? how many extensions are allowed??, how much is the cost for an extension???

3) If 80 days of my stay are gone and I 'm going to other country like China, Vietnam, etc can I return to Thailand and have other 90 days???, is there any limit of the number of times I could stay leaving the country???

Thanks in advance

Yes , Argentina has a bilateral agreement with Thailand and you will get 90 days on each entry whether by land, sea or air.

1. Yes 90 days

2. No. You need to leave the country and return to get another 90 days.

3. Yes you will get another 90 days. There is no official limit

Thanks for your reply, one more question is there a quantity of days, weeks that should pass between the two entries, I mean I leave the first one, and then how many days must pass before entering again??? so there is no fee to pay to enter again>>???

You can leave , enter another Country , turn round and come back again. No fee to enter Thailand.

There may be a Visa fee to enter another Country.

Digressing, but Argentinian citizenship is one of the 'easier' to acquire. basically, laws have not changed since the early 1800. Two years of residence is enough, with various exception for example if you're built railways or are professor or a granted for special merits. There agreements for dual citizenship with various countries, or they may just not care. On paper, it's easier that permanent residence.

Question, how do non Argentinians get such a 90 day stamp on entry?

Answer: Get your home country to sign such a MUTUAL AGREEMENT so that Thai can enter your country visa free like they can enter Argintina,

Now do you think that either the U.S. or the U.K. will agree such a mutual agreement?

Not likely.

Possibly, but for EU/Shengen area there could be possibilities. Thailand is not know to be a country large emigration, and the overall economic conditions are good enough to make so the Visa requirement for the EU could be removed, then allowing three months. Then on a reciprocity basis, Thailand could do the same. All hypothetical but consider that for example, Venezuela nationals do not require a visa for Europe, while Colombians do, for whatever reason (no reason really).
