Another fine example of a Thai politician throwing his weight around but guess what? It is not strong enough to reach or faze us in America. Rock on SNL with your funny ass spoof! I recall how they sold T-Shirts and made sport of us in Thailand when we had our 9/11 bombing in N.Y. We never demanded an apology or worried about your childish reaction. Get over it and if you want to really change your image, clean up your country and start from the top down in your political circus. You should be lucky that The Daily Show with Jon Stewart did not make a spoof yet on your childish reaction. Amazing Thailand. Hahaha the Daily Show would have a field day with this issue. Juxtapose public images of the sex trade in Thailand, alongside Thailand's mock outrage at a simple skit.....The culture minister needs to get back to how to get his father out of prison. Oh wait he has already done that, so has time to make a fool of himself on Thai culture issues... I recall those 9-11 shirts. While I stared at one in amazement, the Thai guy selling them starts laughing and says " go boom!! " I told him in Thai two Thais were killed on 9-11, and what was he laughing about? Instead of complaining about a funny promotional video that went viral thanks to the support of the Thai government they might prevent brothel owners from becoming commerce ministers (Abhisit govt), rapists from staying on as advisers, fathers of murderers and drunks to become Vice Prime ministers and sons of murderers and blackmailers to become ministers of sport and tourism. End of the day Thailand endorses and allows prostitution in this country. The fact that don't want this to be shown shows they know these practices are immoral. The Thais have a gift for promoting things they are trying to suppress. Not a clue... Quite true if they had of kept thier mouths shut then this would not have gone viral. Why can't the Thais develop a sense of humor or if they don't like it then change things. I guess prostitution is a dirty subject but who wants to stop all the money the Thais make from it? They do not once mention the word sex, they are doing it only by innuendo and the only reference to anything is the packing of the condoms, without a spoken word! SNL is only portraying what has become one of the well-known flavors within the multi-brand known as Thailand. Has the Minister never been to Pattaya(aka:Sperm City) or Patong ? does he live in a Mercedes Benz bubble? SNL could of added the flip-side of the "flavor" by promoting a Thai-girl using the Rosetta Stone (use your imagination here) to key-phrase a crafty sinker for the unsuspecting Farang.....now that would be insulting.
