Whats the likely cost of buying a second hand decent car in Phuket?

Some of the quoted prices seem crazy expensive.

Just something simple and not at all flashy. Air con obviously a must.

It is crazy. I would run a wanted ad here, and I would look for one owned by an expat who's needing to leave the country. You can also make offers. Check the classifieds here regularly. There are often offers from expats with deadlines for leaving. Good luck.
