February 7, 201313 yr went to check some flights and prices at the travel agent asking for a one way to thailand stating that i will be obtaining a double entry visa before flying out she busts my balls saying i think you need a return ticket booked, to the best of my knowledge i do not need to have a return fare as i will have a double entry visa. is this correct? will i have no problems with the airline and customs about the fact i only have a one way ticket? cheers
February 7, 201313 yr Depends on the Consulate/Embassy that you use. Some require onward tickets exiting Thailand, but not necessarilly a return to your departure point.
February 7, 201313 yr The consulate might require you to show a ticket out of Thailand, but the airline will allow you to board with a visa. Only when you don't have a visa would you need to have a ticket out.
February 7, 201313 yr I got my original TV in Toronto without a ticket of any sort. I just explained I hadn't decided on exactly what my departure date was, no problems at all with anyone along the line from there to here.
