I have lived in Thailand for 2 years and renew my visa based on marraige to

a Thai every year. I go through the usual rigmorole of getting updated marraige

paper etc and a million copies of everything. I also keep the required 400k in the bank.

During this last year i have got myself a workpermit , so my question is

how does this affect renwing my marraige visa this year? Do i still need 400k in the bank?

and do i still need updated wedding certificates etc?

thanks

Unless you qualify and make the choice to extend for employment it makes no difference. But be aware end of employment would be end of extension in that case.

But if he makes more than 40,000 baht per month, it would give him the option of using the income to qualify for the marriage extension rather than money in the bank.
