Snow began falling in New York City early Friday morning as Winter Storm Nemo loomed over the Northeast, poised to blast metropolitan areas with heavy snow and high winds.

Blizzard warnings have been issued for cities across the Northeastern U.S., and snow totals could reach historically high levels. Up to 30 inches of snow is expected to accumulate in Boston, Mass.; Hartford, Conn., could see 2 feet of snow, while New York City could get as much as 15 inches.

International Business Times

NEW YORK -- Airlines canceled flights by the thousands and air travel had ground to a virtual standstill across much of the Northeast from Friday. Problems were likely to continue well into today (Feb. 9) as severe winter storm brought blizzard conditions to large parts of New York and New England.

More than 6,300 flights have been canceled since Thursday in the United States, with most of those coming at airports affected by the storm.

So, if you are expecting friends relatives to arrive from the east coast of the USA/Canada to Thailand and have a long drive to the Airport to collect them ... make sure their flight is not cancelled !

And this is related to Thailand by...?
