Is these the ones that males can't use?

Try any of the craft shops at Central World Plaza. Or, ask any one of the 100,000,000,000 tailors.

BTW, I’m a guy.

These are the style, they use in Hospitals, for flesh wounds,or post surgery.

Thanks for all the answers

Craft shop I think. Try B2S? They have a wide range of crafts in their bigger stores.

Also try China Town? Its got loads of fabric for sale down there so surely there would be needles as well?

There is a shop on Asoke just near the junction with Sukhumvit Rd. opposite The Exchange Tower probably 20m from the corner. They have all sowing accoutrements there. Needles, threads, buttons etc

Good luck

What OP seems to be talking about is not a sewing needle but a suture holder, a type of needle used to suture wounds. Would need a medical supply shop or company that sells surgical supplies. This is not something commonly bought by lay people nor in small quantity, usually sold in bulk to hospitals and clinics.

If it is a sewing needle, I've never seen anything like it/don't know for what it would be used??

Your best bet is Pahurat (Indian market where they specialize in selling cloth). This is located at the Western end of Yaowaraj Rd (China town). Bring a photo of those needles.

I have a set of them curved needles, look for sailmakerneedles on the net, and you for sure will find them amongst the various straight or slightly curved ones. Also used by carpet layers and in bookbinding shops.

Ahh the sewing up of a carcass. In a worse case scenario, try one of the medical supply houses. I suggest you buy a few, the needles are mostly sourced from India, and to be polite, the steel is not as strong as German sourced products.

Still loving this thread title

Leather-workers also use them.

Go to a produce store...not likely to find in Bkk....I might be able to get you one if you wish and mail it to you....but they sell them for sewing up the rice sacks, curved somewhat, maybe not as much as in the pic, but strong and used for stitching up the rice bags quite strongly....I have bought a couple and used it for sewing up a whole carcass for spit roast....should do the trick.

Or...try at a mortuary....take bottle whiskey...swap.

Fishermen use something like this when mending broken nets. You can also use your cooking stove and heat a straight needle and then bend it to a curvature of your liking. Easy really, no ladies have to involved. smile.png
