If you just go out in the tourist area like where you are and Thapae Gate you can probably strike up conversation with some people you choose to meet.

To the conspiracists - maybe Davily figured posting to an open forum was the best and quickest way to meet westerners. Part of his upbringing in the age of technology, as opposed to most of us dinosaurs of the rotary phone age.

Go to meetup dot com and look for a group that matches your interest, or start one.

Ive had great luck meeting people when i was touring Socal by bike. I wish more people would use this site, it's a great way to meet people. TV isnt always the best because a lot of people want to remain anonymous and stay antagonistic.

If you don't hit off from the beginning try a few different meetup groups, eventually you'll find one with people you can hang with.
