I googled it but didnt find much on condos

Some CM condos for sale HERE- from 400,000 on up. And a few for Rent Here. Most are direct from owners. (I may be biased in my website recco tho)

PS, go slow, lots of CM sites out there and lots on offer, take your time regardless

I would advise to take a drive around the highways and ask about property, seems to come cheaper in past experience. The road to Doi Saket is good. Oops thought you meant houses.

Try Hillside condo on the road to Doi Suthep.

I used to use Chiang Mai Habitat but NOT recommend them again.

I havent seen a longer list of developers than this one:

its in thai but the urls' are in english, perhaps if you have some free time, can check some of them? I know for sure that some of them are in Chiang Mai.

I did see an advertisement of Karnkanok condo. New one launched near Wat Ched Yod. You might want to search on their website.

IMO if you buy off a web site, you might pay up to 20% more than by getting a Thai friend/spouse to look for you.(As already mentioned)

I have noticed a lot more advertisments, targeting farang..for obvious reasons.

A good source for a listing of real estate agents in Chiang Mai is the "Advertisers' Directory" in the printed issue of "Citylife Chiang Mai" (www.citylife-citylife.com), from which I have selected (arranged in alphabetical order) the following agents that deal with rentals:

Three of these agents do not give a website address in their advertisements, but all show their phone/mobile numbers.

Unexpectedly in early March, it happened that I have to let my little bungalow, and therefore contacted all of the aforementioned agents by phone. So far, the result has been that only three agents provided a follow-up service (call back, back email, visit), and this service was done without unduly delay: Baan Sammi, Chiang Mai House, and Parker's Real Estate (in alphabetical order). Please do consider this as a case study - I restrain from any recommendation.
