My friend has returned to Uk and does not intend returning ,He gave me his car to sell for him ,we got all the paperwork signed and he got a residence letter from immigration that I assumed was for 30 days !. He came over for about 3 weeks on a entry visa you get when you fly in ,( when he lived here he was on a retirement visa that had expired and did not renew as he was going back to the UK)

The expiry date of the letter was for only 10 days which was left on his visa before returning home ,

Got a buyer for his car but only when went to transfer the name did we find out about the letter expiring in 10 days instead of 30,

What options if any do we have to make the name transfer as the guy does not want to fly back to get Thailand and get another letter ?

I would go to immigration first and ask them for a new letter or date change explaining the problem, remember to tell them you have a buyer for the car.

They are quite friendly on Desk 7 as they are collecting money , 500 baht might do the trick.
