It was just a brief discussion of quotes from one of the parties involved.

It's not an all encompassing discussion of all the parties involved.

There's plenty of other posts by myself in this 115 post thread that discusses the others involved.

The trouble is that your contributions always seem to be selective. You never even attempt to take a comprehensive view, and you edit savagely when an article contains a passage that doesn't fit in with your army kowtowing narrative. That's why I have to take you too task.

Even in your bizarro world I don't really see how it's possible to discuss Tak Bai without mentioning the army.In terms of discussing "other issues" I have never seen a post of yours criticising the army head on whether in respect of Tak Bai or its many other crimes. All I have seen was your childish suggestion that Thsaksin was responsible for promoting all the senior officers involved in the massacre, a lie and a stupid one at that because so easily disproved.

For those of us with less investigative skills than you would you be so kind as to disprove it rather than just throw slurs at the person who said it.

Investigative skills are not required. There are many excellent reports on the Tak Bai massacre including the AHRC report I recently posted.

I have no interest in personalising this discussion. However if there is constant dishonesty and misinformation I feel it is reasonable to point this out.Specifically when discussing Tak Bai there is a need to recognise the army's criminality and not denying it.If making this clear amounts in some people's opinion to a slur, so be it.

And you don't need investigative skills to locate these reports.

Some how I knew you would run true to your nature and evade the issue.

Now you have no more credibility than the people you accuse of lying. Just talk that proves in your own mind what you want people to believe.

Yep, there's more.... returning to the on-topic discussion of the subject of the thread regarding Tak Bai:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I want to tell the Thai Muslims ... that I know about everything that goes on in the south, and I will absolutely not allow the authorities to harass the public," Thaksin told reporters.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a press conference two days after the massacre, the Government Spokesman Jakrapob Penkair* said that the three main causes of death are over-exhaustion due to fasting; the influence of unidentified drugs; and accidents during the crackdown. This was the public statement echoed by different personalities of the government.

“Many protesters were weak and hungry because they were obeying the holy Ramadan fast which took toll on their health,” said Justice Deputy Permanent Secretary Manit Suthaporn. The Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra* confirmed this, and added “They were exhausted, as they were protesting under a scorching sun."

*: currently a fugitive from justice.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“If we’re soft, they’ll think we’re caving in. I won’t have it,” Thaksin said in an interview.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and the topper, IMHO:

The Prime Minister said, “It would not be right to assume every suspect was innocent until proven guilty.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

.

It was my understanding that Muslims did not fast during Ramadan. They just refrained from eating from sun up to sun down. Not exactly what I would call a fast. It is not like they ate very little at night. I am sure they ate enough to fill them selves up.

Muslims definitely fast during Ramadan.

Muslims even absolute fast during a defined period of time. (sun up to sun down for a month)

Fasting is primarily the act of willingly abstaining from all food, drink, or both, for a period of time.

An absolute fast is normally defined as abstinence from all food and liquid for a defined period, usually a single day (24 hours), or several days. Other fasts may be only partially restrictive, limiting particular foods or substance.

Lets make this easy Jayboy as you have and are throwing a blanket over this whole thread, of people being dishonest. Please point out witch post(s) that has your stomach turning so much, It does lend to much credibility to your accusations of dishonesty, if nobody knows specifically what you are talking about.

Misrepresentation is your biggest strength.

The dishonesty is yours:

By misrepresenting what others have posted, for example, this statement, which you label a lie, is a lie in itself as it was never said.

Thsaksin was responsible for promoting all the senior officers involved in the massacre, a lie

Another lying misrepresentation of others posts is your claim:

there is a need to recognise the army's criminality and not denying it

It seems inherent that whenever you frequently veer off to discuss posters instead of the topic, you inevitably end up lying about what those posters write and yet another one of your patented bickering sessions, that you invariably initiate, takes root.

The main symptoms of sociopathy are chronic lying, a lack of guilt or remorse for ... People with the condition often use or hurt other people for their own benefit ... They consider themselves to be better than everyone else, which typically ... Sociopaths' minds let them believe that they are almost all knowing.

So not to veer off topic totally, I believe Thaksin has this condition as well, an showed as much, in his handling of the situation in the southern provinces during his first term as PM.

If you made your position clear on this, the dialogue would quickly come to an end.

(I have deleted the various personal attacks because they are not relevant to the issue.)

It doesn't matter how clear I make it.... your bickering session would just simply move over to some other misrepresentation.

For the record, not sure how much more acknowledgement would satisfy your non-existent, made-up contention point.

In other words if I don't have a snack between breakfast and lunch I am fasting.

Some how it dosen't feel like it. I have gone on two and three day fasts and they were nothing like just not eating during the daylight. O well it does make them feel like they are doing some thing.cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif
