Thai Visa For Accompanying My Partner Working In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi, me and my girlfriend came to Thailand last April from the U.K. for my girlfriend to work as a teacher. My girlfriend has a work permit and I have come on a tourist visa which will expire in April and as we are staying in Thailand another year and we are both living comfortably on my girlfriends wage. I have asked her school if I can get onto her work permit to stay legally but as we are not married I cannot do this, can anyone give me advice on the best visa I can get for one year and where I can go to get it, is there another way I can get onto my girlfriends work permit as I do not want to do a visa run every 90 days, I'm really lost and confused about getting another visa, where to go, what to ask for and what type of visa I am entitled to, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Seems at the moment the only visa you are entitiled to is a Tourist Visa. Perhaps consider an "ED" visa to study Thai language, or get a job or start a business for a "B" visa.

Yes. Tourist Visas are all you qualify for at the moment.

Enrol in a Thai Language school and you can get Education Visas.
