12 Month Non 0 @ Chiang Mai Versus Multi Entry

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Finally a Non Immi 0 12 month - (purposes retirement).

In hindsight was easy but at start out seemed very confusing.

My thnxs to all who gave advice - in particlaur Lopburi3 and NancyL.

There is however one point that has given pause for thought.

We would like to do some travelling to see surronding countries.

Malaysia we know well but next stop maybe Laos etc, etc.

Do I have to get a re-entry stamps @ 1900 Baht for each visit outside or is it possible to get a one off 12 month multi re-entry against the Non Immi 0 (retirement)??

Because if not maybe it would have been more cost effective to just go for a 12 month Multi Entry Visa each year in lieu of the Non Immi 0 (retirement) now obtained??

Am I missing something ref the point of the Non Immi 0 12 month - (purposes retirement).

Best Rgds.

A single re-entry permit costs 1,000 baht, a multiple re-entry 3,600 baht (not sure, might be 3,800 baht) and valid until your extension expires. So, unless you plan to travel more than 3 times per year then the singles might be cheaper.

The other factor is that you still have to check-in (notification TM47) after 90 continuous days in Thailand.
