Some of the larger hotels along the road leading out to the temples are owned/managed by thais (i worked for a marketing company an met many of them)

I have one friend in SR that has a thai wife, the others i know are in shv or PP an seem to get along fine with the khmers.but no large community of them, even the thai rests in PP are Khmer owned and run.

You do see plenty of thai tourists around if you speak thai you can pick them out easy. otherwise you would have no idea who they were.

Well actually you are touching perhaps the last reason to stay here,

thai food is tasty, i know what stuff i like, and i know what to expect whenever i order.

On the contrary i have yet to find a single dish of khmer food that i finished the plate

They d’Hale their own version of pad Kra pao, with meat. Noodle soup is always a great idea
