I'm interested in Eurasians. My kids are Eurasian, and so is my GF. I'm guessing that most men on this forum have Eurasian kids.

Thais usually don't say the word "Eurasian". Instead, they say "Luk Kreung". This means "half baby".

I prefer the word "Eurasian" as it's more specific and implies Caucasian ancestry.

Mechai is one of the best known and most respected men in Thailand. Almost single-handedly, he made it acceptable for (normally conservative) Thais to talk about AIDS, condoms and family planning. All expats will know about his restaurant, Condoms and Cabbages (a branch of which opened recently in England).

His accomplishments are many and varied -- in 2007, he received an award from the Bill and Melissa Gates Foundation.

Mechai's father was a Thai Doctor; his mother was a Scottish Doctor. The two of them met while working together in Edinburgh.

Thonchai's list of acting and singing credits is way to long to mention. Suffice to say, he is one of Thailand's best-loved superstars.

Most longterm expats will remember the hit single "Fan Ja"; movie buffs will remember his role in "Sunset at Chaophraya", one of the first Thai films to achieve international recognition.

Thongchai's grandfather was Scottish; his father was half-Scottish half-Thai; Thongchai is therefore one quarter Scottish.

Kultida Punsawad

Kultida is Thai-Chinese-Dutch. She must be one of the proudest mothers in the world.

Her husband was a US Army Officer who served in the Vietnam war. She met him in 1966 when he was stationed here in Thailand.

They got married and had a son. Their son's name is Tiger Woods.

Without doubt, Kultida is the mother of one of the most successful sports stars ever to have lived.

That are half farangy, plus all the farangs who are plonking themselves in Thailand and seeding many kids with the natives, I would guess that within the next 40 years, perhaps less, once the new generation of half farangy kids have grown and then had children of their own, that the racial appearance of the Thais will change. They will be lighter skinned, maybe taller with more prominent facial features, especially the noses. The problem is that this may put a lot of cosmetic surgeons out of business, as nose jobs are very popular, especially with the Thai girls. It`s a good thing actually, because all my kids have the best of both the Western and Thai cultures, which definitely gives them an advantage on the average Thai person, who believe that Thailand is the only country on the planet.

As regards nationality, there is no proportion. One either is a citizen, or one is not. Tiger Woods is as American as the next man and Mechai Viravaidya is eligible to play for Scotland

I would have grave doubts about any thread championing racial superiority, regardless of which race one was promoting, whether it be Aryans, Thais, Chinese or mixed-race

Eurasian is the correct term, however the way the world is developing in a couple of generations there will be no distinction or generalisation.

1.Look kreung doesnt mean half baby, means; mixed baby , due of being the product of two different races or of two parents of different etnicity.

2. If you are original from any european country or from any asian country then you are an eurasian cuz eurasia is a continent in which europe and asia are.

3. The future of ur son depends on his education, capabilities and conections( i know many look kreungs here that r so <deleted> off as any thai can be).

4. Here if you are a foreigner you can have a future, in fact many of my friend are foreigners that have amigrated to Thailand and are pretty successfulls( including me)

Besides these few points I hope you son will have a nice life, I also have a daughter and I know how ancious you can feel about the future of ur kids
