Ipod Screen Replacement

Featured Replies

I dropped my iPod Nano 6th Gen which is the small square one last week and the screen is completey cracked and will probably fall out very soon. I was hoping that someone may know of somewhere I can get the screen replaced other than MacCare at Central. I greatly appreciate any help and suggestions.

ICON Computer Plaza. Outside of the moat on the north side, About 100m from the western corner. There is a shop all the way in the back left side on the second floor that can do it. They are a phone shop but also carry ipod screens.

Thank you so much CMSteve for your suggestion but I went to ICON Plaza this afternoon and unfortunately the shop you mentioned told me that they don't do iPods anymore. In fact nobody in ICON Plaza will replace the screen of an iPod. I have in fact found one shop already in Chiang Mai but the cost to replace the screen is so expensive it makes more sense to just buy a new one, which it looks likely that I will probably end up doing.

On Huay Keaw Rd, about 100 metres from the Amari Junction and right across the road from The Manderine Learning centre is a guy I use. He replaced my iPod Touch screen for B1500, installed a 240GB SSD drive on my Macbook and replaced a HDD on my iMac at reasonable (though not the cheapest) prices. I have no complaints about his service except that he's so busy that he may be slow to get back to you, but he does get back to you.

Thank you so much Thakkar and I was wondering if by any chance you happen to have a telephone number for him. It would just be slightly easier if I could call him but I will try him in the morning anyway. You can always PM me if it is easier but thank you it does sound very hopeful.

Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions. I called the number that Thakkar posted and the screen is being ordered from Bangkok for me and I will get my iPod back the same day I take it in and so I am absolutely thrilled and it is also at a very reasonable price as well. Krit the owner of the shop is extremely helpful and knowledgable about all things Mac so I am very grateful for the introduction.
