News_Editor Posted February 27, 2013 Share Posted February 27, 2013 <p> Four still missing after boat sinks off California coast </p>< br /> <p>2013-02-27 07:03:11 GMT+7 (ICT) </p><br /> <p>SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) -- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) on Monday said its search efforts are ongoing, after four people, including two children, abandoned ship off the coast of California.<br /></p><br /><p>The 29-foot sailboat, possibly named Charmblow, was approximately 65 miles off the coast of Pillar Point, California on Sunday, when the Coast Guard Sector San Francisco was radioed at 4:20 p.m. local time. <br /></p><br /><p>Those on board stated that they were taking on water and the vessel's electronics were failing. At 5:30 p.m. the vessel operator reported that they were abandoning the sailboat, and the Coast Guard lost radio communications with them. The USCG said the crew may have possibly made it into a make-shift liferaft. The two children involved are reportedly 4 and 8 years old.<br /></p><br /><p>Coast Guard Sector San Francisco quickly issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast and launched multiple rescue assets following the notification.
