    Have the check-out girls/boys/others in Tesco Lotus lost their 'Thainess'?

    When the place first opened - I was always greeted with a smile and a sawasdee ka/khrap.

    Now they do not even make eye contact, and they ignore me when I speak to them.

    Is it just me (should I shave/shower more often) or do others see this as well?

    On the whole I am happy with the service I get on Samui with the exception of my landlady who keeps giving me my electricity bill to late to pay at 7-11.

    Prego always outstanding service.

    WillWait ( Nathon only ) also very good.

    Yes I agree Prego's in Amari Hotel, Chaweng always brilliant. We have purchased a Prestige card and this means we can dine to our hearts content and 50% off each meal. We often sit down to free bread, water and eat fantastic food with lovely service and pay 250 baht for two people. Cant believe it but true....

    I've been back for the last three weeks for my usual winter break and have been impressed with the service received

    Been to many different places eating/drinking not one bad service received - including service at the gas station from Bophut to Chewang

    On route in a friends truck to Lamai - stopped at police check - received a warm reception with 'have a good evening' thrown in

    I could go on - but good news is a bit boring....
