With so may visitors in town for that conference, Yaowarat shark fin restaurants must be doing booming trade this week.

There was a similar conference hosted by Thailand a few years back during Thaksin's tenure..

After the conference finished one day, Thaksin and his cabinet all went to a shark fin restaurant in Yaowaraat. The Wildlife People from overseas were horrified!!

Potjaman says shark fin soup is grossly over rated. The weenie remained a weenie and in any event he soon ran out of puff.

The slaughter of rhinoceros is driven by the jealous feelings of the Thai over privileged. Put it simply, the rhinos are more affluent. Rhino meaning money, ceros (sore ass) meaning piles - hence piles of money.
