Bus Safety?

Featured Replies

I don't recall reading any bus crash disaster stories for a number of months now.

Is Thailand experiencing a bus safety problem fix? Did the carriers, the police, safety inspectors, the insurers finally do something right and have made the industry shape up?

Is no news good news?

Maybe Thailand did something right for a change, and should be congratulated?

Just saying.

I know, no one wants to talk about the 'good stuff'.

One by one wlll be fixed when they will be dead :-)

The OP has a point, perhaps, what I see in CM is a whole host of new(ish) and sexy looking buses and very few older clapped out wrecks, I suspect it's a case of the increased wealth in the country is leading to inwards investment, I hope so.

Judging by what I see on highways, no, bus drivers did not "fix" their driving style. So, the risk remains. You are just facing a statistically empty period or are missing the info of the crash happening far out.

Look at this one: http://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-four-die-30-hurt-in-mae-sot-bus-crash-35297.php

And on Feb 3, 2013, a bus crash in southern California killed 8, injured 27. (faulty brakes indicated - NTSB investigating)

Oh, the hue and cry over unsafe bus conditions in America!

or, stuff happens! every where.
