webworldly Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Hey there......do you know where to find data regarding the number of annual visitors to Benjakiti Park, and if possible Chuvit Garden? I'm sure there's no precise number to be found, but even an "official" (or unofficial) estimate would be very helpful and much appreciated. While we wait for a helpful person to provide an answer or to give direction as to where the data can be found......does anyone here care to take a guess? Benhakiti? Chuvit? CHEERS! D
kblaze Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 best chance would be to have a Thai help you navigate the BMA website...but I would be surprised if they have any figures on parks...you will probably have to first find out (perhaps through the BMA) who is in charge of the parks, a director of some sort, and then ask them directly.
MaxwellsDemon Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 A quick scour of the official (methinks) website shows no mention of benjakiti or chuvit... (http://office.bangkok.go.th/office/ppdd/publicpark/english/otherpark/OtherPark.html)
webworldly Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 kblaze & MaxwellsDemon.........thank you for your help with such a difficult question. I will take kblaze's advice of focusing on the BMA as a resource, and I will follow up here if / when I have some useful data. Thank you again. CHEERS! D
pmarlin Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Doubt you will find much on Chuvit park since it is a private park.
webworldly Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 pmarlin....the good news is, you're right. The bad news is, you're right. Tangentially related......MaxwellsDemon's link (post #3 in this thread) reveals official visitor traffic estimates for several other parks. Just for fun.....before you click his link, try to guess what the two official estimates of average daily visitor traffic are for: "working day" "holiday" Heck, maybe you could even post your pre-look guesses here.
candypants Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Doubt you will find much on Chuvit park since it is a private park. i would also suspect that the numbers are quite low ans it is only open very early in the mornings and late in the evenings to a total of less than 6 hours a day.
AdamBangkok Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Doubt you will find much on Chuvit park since it is a private park. I think he just wanted somewhere close to the office to walk his dog
