PATTAYA:--A 61-year-old Swiss man was arrested in a South Pattaya rental room for selling ya-ice and ganja. He was caught after one of the addicts he sold drugs to named him as the drug dealer. After his arrest, the Swiss man denied selling drugs, and said he only bought them for his personal use.

Looks like they have caught a major drug dealer. The pathetic Thai police once again in action, catch the real dealers you pack of imbeciles. He should be released with a slap on the wrist (which of course he will be if he pays up).

May or may not be dealing, but being in possession is enough to get convicted and spend some quality time behind bars.

Only speculating, but most likely one of his regular "friends" was caught and gave him up as a "prize" for her/his freedom.

Tiny quantity. This is pretty outrageous. They don't believe him, why? Because a snitch with his own corrupt (and understandable) motivations claimed he was a dealer? I think the Swiss man needs a doctor not a prison cell. Really tragic.

As always here, punish the monkey, but never the organ grinders.

That sure isn't a large quantity for a so-called dealer to be in possession of. I highly doubt he was selling if the story is true.

Maybe he'd already sold his stock?

Or better not to have anything whatsoever to do with drugs in Thailand……. Don't you think?

Most sensible comment so far.

...it sounds like a 'set-up'....not a drug dealer....

...he confessed he was a user....he should be forgiven and pardoned...like all Thais are...

...maybe they should investigate to stoolie.....

Well speculated, that's exactly what the report said happened.

Big enough quantity to be illegal. Not at all outrageous. Deserves all that he gets.

A highly unlikely scenario. Foreign drug dealers with a white face do not last very long. Let's call it a setup, entrapment maybe. The police have a very reliable witness as it seems a real drug user/dealer who must have noticed that the foreigner has money in his pocket, money that can be multiplied by telling his family to send more of those nice Swiss Francs. Thailand is full of police jokers, but the biggest of them can be found in border towns and tourist towns.
