I replied earlier, but the net didn't take it...

My wife, who is into amulets, immediately recognized this as Hanuman, the Monkey King. She says the amulet was more than likely made by a monk, but you'd have to go an expert to check its authenticity and value.

More on Hanuman here: https://www.google.com/search?q=Hanuman+the+monkey+king#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=Hanuman+the+monkey+king+Thailand&oq=Hanuman+the+monkey+king+Thailand&gs_l=serp.3...106015.107704.1.108244.9.8.0.0.0.0.367.367.3-1.1.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.6.serp.U2TfkgfpK2Q&psj=1&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.43828540,d.bmk&fp=8edd683c54e54198&biw=1440&bih=706

Thanks missfarmgirl, one might think this sitting posture could be that of luang pho koon, he usually sits like that.

noahvail, you might be right. it doesn't look like human to me. rather a monkey, could be hanuman as you suggested.
