webfact
Thai PM pleads for political understandingBy English NewsBANGKOK, March 20 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has asked for a chance to run Thailand until her four-year term expires. She is currently under scrutiny by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) for giving false statements on a loan for Bt30 million to Ad Index Company in which her husband, Anusorn Amornchat was a shareholder. The company secured the loan in 2006-2007.The prime minister said she has submitted all relevant facts and information to the NACC and confirmed that the information was correct.“I hope the NACC and government agencies concerned will treat me fairly,” she said.Regarding reports that a ‘reserved’ prime minister will replace her in case of a political accident, Ms Yingluck said, “Don’t you want me to work anymore? Please give me a chance. People have given me the chance for over a year. I want to work until the end of my tenure to prove the government’s performance.“Don’t look for others. Yingluck insists on working for the people with her full capability.” (MCOT online news)-- TNA 2013-03-20
Popular Post Stradavarius37
I can be convinced, why don't we meet at the Sukothai on Sathorn for a "business meeting" to discuss "politics"...

Popular Post A Member
Many years ago her brother escaped judgement on the deciding vote of 1 judge who later said Thaksin was guilty but the judge had decided to give him a chance because he was PM. Will this now be a case of Deja Vu ?

dcutman
The prime minister said she has submitted all relevant facts andinformation to the NACC and confirmed that the information was correct. Apparently she is not feeling to confident, in fact rather nervous, with all the correct information she submitted. bushwacker
Sounds like she is admitting that something illegal was done, yet she begs to be treated fairly. And in another breath, she does not really want to be treated fairly but rather she is asking the "judges" to ignore the issue and forgive her. Please check all logic before entering the country.

MaxLee
So what, if she can't run her Prime Minister term for 4 years,... then we can get ready for another royal rumble between PAD and UDD on the streets of Bangkok again,...

Another self proclaimed victim of her own inability to provide statements that at least make sense. The Shins have so much stolen wealth to hide that sometimes they make mistakes. That is a risk they have to manage. In this case they failed and they should pay for it.

Popular Post DLock
Yingluk's destiny is to be a footnote on Wikipedia highlighting her complete failure as a puppet PM for Thailand who brought the country to it's knees because of an ill conceived rice pledging scheme and Government borrowing beyond it's means or requirments. Dance puppet, dance.

Asking for political understanding is a hoot coming from a member of the most intolerant family, and party, around. Funny how they are all sweetness and light when their nuts are in a vice, if it was someone else they would be tightening the screw

Case in point, 10 million Baht of tax payers money for a new election so that Yaowapa Shinawatra can take the MP position her chauffeur was holding for her while she was banned for electoral fraud.

Popular Post siampolee
Now there is a salutary lesson being learnt . Yingluck took the poisoned chalice from her brother and has drunk deeply from it, now she is beginning to suffer from the consequences of drinking from that poisoned chalice. Did she really think her brother was handing her a chalice full of pure unadulterated power wine without a taint to it ? Her brother cares for no one but his own selves his assorted mindsets and alter egos. Indeed he is a legend in his own minds, Whatever he (Thaksin) may pass to anyone it will always involve a penalty payment that deflects the affects from Thaksin himself, that is the puppet masters right.
billd766
She has already had over 1 1/2 years to prove her worth and value as the " Real PM " and so far not a lot of good has been done for the country and the population as a whole.

jackspratt
Have any of our illustrious TV pundits given any thought to what happens if she is disqualified? Replaced by another PTP puppet of Thaksin's, so what really is achieved?

drdoom6996
What does she mean "working for the people". We have seen her people become the very rich and friends and FAMILY. What about the other 95% of Thailand. Who is gonna help them?
