This is my first time applying for a marriage extension. Can someone advise as to what is needed ? I am sure this has been asked many times, but I am hoping for a up to date review.

I have the :

USA Passport with iNon-mmigrant O visa good to July 5th

Marriage certificate

Yellow book

Tm7 form to be filled out with 2 passport pictures

Letter from USA embassy- income verification. I will be using the over 40,000 Baht per month method.

I will be applying in Pattaya Jomtien immigration

I understand I need a series of photos ( What types of scenes?)

Do I need copies of everything?

Is the wife need the first time? What does she have to bring if anything? (Blue book etc, etc.....

Do I need a witness or someone from her family to attend also?

Thank you for any advise or help with this. Hoping for a smooth first run

Letter from your Thai Bank showing balance and up to date bank book.
OR.
If income from outside Thailand: Letter from your Embassy showing income. Now may also need proof of income as back up.
If Income from Thailand: Statements showing Income Tax reciepts.
Marriage Certificate. (Kor Ror 3)
Marriage Registry entry. (Kor Ror 2)
Wife's Tabbien Baan and ID Card.
Your Passport.
Copies of everything.
Photos of you and your Wife in and around the house.
A map showing the way to your house.
Passport size photos and 1,900 Baht fee.
Take your Wife to be interviewed.
One or two witnesses may be required.
You will be given a 30 day under consideration stamp.
Go back in a month and get the remainder.

Wife must go with you because she will need to do a statement as part of the process.

You have plenty of time to get documents together because the earliest you could the extension is the 5th of June.

You will need original and 2 copies of marriage certificate, wife's ID card and house book. Copy and original Kor Ror 2 form from Amphoe. Two copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card. Two TM7 application forms filled with attached photos.

Not sure what they want in Jomtien for photo's of you and the wife. But basic is photo of you and the wife together in and around the house. One outside below or next to the house number.

I wouldn't get the income affidavit from embassy earlier than 30 days before you make the application.

You mention visa July 5 so that must be a multi entry visa - you apply normally during the last 30 days of any entry (permitted to stay) although that office may still accept earlier. Wife will need ID card and home register and copies of same. If not living at that home register be sure to have proof of where living (note you mention yellow book so that should be fine). Normally photos together in bedroom with wardrobe visible with both your clothing hung to help prove relationship is one they want and another outside home with number visible. Wife will need to be with you and sign documents and be interviewed.

10. Picture of house and family, in house and outside showing house number.

I always see this, but if the couple live in a condo tower, picture of the tower is okay ??

Sorry for asking this, but i get married later this year, and we live in condo tower...

Pictures of being together in house...........

We took some photos of she and I in, and outside, her (owned) house in Huai Pheung (Kalasin), even though we don't live there.

We rent a condo in BKK, agreement in my name. Should we do the photos of us in the condo? (more relevant because we actually live here together, which is the intent).

Where did you apply, could be a surprise when they come and interview the neighbours that you you actually live together.

If you have been married for a few years you need a updated stamp on the registration documents and take a witness just to be sure I had to.

The pictures should be where you actually live since the police may come to your place of residence and check on your marriage. They sometimes interview neighbors also.

We haven't applied yet, but, looking at Lopburis post above, we will take photos of where we actually live together (the Condo); clothes, family photos etc all present there
