Ouch! How Many Ways Did This Hurt?

And a very very good fire resistant drivers suit. Bad idea try saving money on safety when driving a car like that.

Yes, there was a host of safety features that saved his life including a HANS mentioned.. Can't believe there is no video of this posted with the report though? Can't seem to find any either?

I can't find the info sad.png, but l read somewhere an American company now makes a street legal car with more or less the same specs, HP and top speed, as this ride. whistling.gif

I haven't heard of any street legal upgrades that'll get anywhere near 2,800 HP.. 1000 HP is achievable though: http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/hpe1000camaro.html

Ooooooooooops, sorry about the HP. The ride l read about is the quickest, fastest ride on the planet, YET l cannot find the info. sad.png

I believe (if my ol' gray cells remember right whistling.gif ) that it will cost near $1m.

I probably dream't it. laugh.png

There's a guy there In Thailand having a street legal car (I think a Camaro built) and I can't remember but the Hp is up around these numbers supposedly but haven't heard anything about it lately, my last update was a couple of years ago.

But to fit into my other thread here's another "crap" Vette rolleyes.gif with 2000hp street legal..

Here ya go T/A a '63' 2400hp street legal Vette.. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b34_1234118300 Video on link..

Sure the ride l am thinking about was a floor up build, hence the price tag.

A bit off topic but not really, I was trying to search the big hp, street legal project car I read about some years ago being built there in Thailand but hadn't heard about it since and I ran into this new project by the same guy, here's one for you big bike guys, enjoy and salivate.. http://www.flyingpiston.com/bike/1839/222-thailand-dragon

Well strangely enough they no longer seem to have a website only a face book page and the car is difficult to find any info about though now there's a truck, he had already commissioned an engine builder in the states and was building the fastest street car in the world from the ground up supposedly and had pics of the engine which was on a stand in his office lobby.

Maybe the Thai regs were just a bit too much for even someone with his budget & influence to overcome? whistling.gif

222 Thailand Dragon is a silly bike. You want something more practical.

That's better!

Rod Hatfield, an Aussie bloke from Castemaine, built a Chevy with a Rolls Royce Merlin engine. Actually a Packard Merlin 266....which is a copy.

3000hp so they reckon.

Although I think he uses a 502 big block Chevelle for runs to 7/11

That's better!

He's not building it to be practical obviously... He's building it to be ostentatious...

Perhaps the highest HP street legal would be the Dodge Viper at 2000 HP? Speedhunters.com

Nope, didn't you see the Vette I published above? Both of them...Sweet looking ride though I much prefer the newer viper body style over the old one it looks more proportionate..At least he really can 'GO FAST' with his go fast paint..

I just noticed though, he's taken all of the flair lines out of the shape, that looks crap..
