Does anybody know or could recommend a shipping agent located in BKK that could handle a load of solar panels I've got coming by boat from China?

I've already spoken to some stupid companies that wanna charge more than the load is worth.

Can't help but am curious, wouldn't this usually be arranged at both ends beforehand?

I guess these are for your own personal use and therefore if your extra customs/overheads blow your costs out of the water it's NBD?

And in general I find for most things the most cost effective option is to just play it straight and handle it yourself, but as I said I don't know how feasible that would be in this specific instance.

One note don't get all principled about not paying any baksheesh, most likely would just cause more trouble and expense than it's worth. IMO.

Also I would hope that you have the import license in hand from the relevant agency.

I wanted the Chinese agent to do everything but they could only come up with a rip-off Thai shipping agent and I wasn't going to take the hit.
