Hi

Im looking for a water distiller in chiang mai

I opened a similar thread and somoene directed me to homepro.. only to find out they are filters not distillers.

Can anyone tell me where to find a water distiller (not a water filter) Thanks

Consider getting distilled water at the medical supply place. I think its like 100 baht for 18 liters.

It's the place near to the Suthep and Nimmanhemin intersection

Gives you some time before you shell out for a distiller. Not cheap if bought in Thailand.

I think it makes sense to buy one on ebay US and eat the shipping and import duties.

Lots of choices and low prices.

I wondered about getting it myself as I have a c pak machine that recommends it. Wound up getting the water they use in batteries. To the best of my recollection it was supposed to be distilled water. Not cheap 300 baht for a box of 12 and I do not believe they are a liter.

Strange more people arent drinking distilled water. The ebay available machines are like $150-300. You can make 4 liters a day. No filters to worry about replacing.. and you KNOW its pure as you can see all the stuff left behind. Buying it in bottles, well could be tap water. I did a test once on about 5 brands of water with an electrolysis machine you wouldnt believe what crap was in the water all this black sludge. Nampthip had the most in it. If thats "minerals" - you can keep it thanks i dont want undisclosed minerals in my water thank you very much.

Recently i ozonated some singha brand water (glass bottles).. and there was all this like "white stuff" floating on the surface after i had ozonated it. I think it might be fluoride or who knows what. I am drinking tesco brand water at the moment, i get it in the really big bottles. I dont think its distilled but its the only brand that doesnt leave residue after exposing it to ozone (i ozonate water as i want to drink the ozone.. but its best to start with pure water). I noticed nestle brand states they put chlorine and fluoride in it (look at the big bottles, its written on the label). To be honest i think many of the brands contain fluoride, possibly tesco brand also

I just use it for short periods of detoxification. Long term use is controversial and some think dangerous.

I once went on a complete fast for three days and drank nothing but distilled water. My wife said that my eyes just sparkled.

As I say I ate absolutely nothing and at timers it was hard pretending that glass of water was a steak. At the time I was on holidays and really nothing to do and I had been told that physical exercise would just create more things to cleanse out of the system. So go as easy as possible lots of TV and reading which I enjoy. Lost 6 pounds also but that was only temporary.sad.png

But the body does need some of the material in water. Otherwise you wind up having to take supplements.

Having investigated all types of water filters most of which produce dead water I found that I Water was the most interesting. The machine is produced by a company called Japin and is available in CM but it is expensive however you can buy the Water in 5Ltr containers and it is worth trying before buying. There are a number of claims made about this process some of which might be questionable but I have found it to have good qualities and in my opinion superior to any other filtration system. I have recently purchased the system and if anyone wants further details pm me.

Update - distilled water purchased for 250baht for 20 litres from SK Chemical supply on Suthep road. Very nice and friendly, english speaking owner. I think its cheaper for refills when you bring the plastic container back.

Was quoted 60,000 baht for a water distiller! I think this is some big industrial machine, far too expensive and OTT for my needs. Ill buy an ebay special when i am in Austalia and bring it over. I dont think anyone is selling small counter top 4/litres a day water distillers in CM.
