I just purchased a Thai company which already has a virtual office and 4 employees. After purchase, I received invoice from the accounting service for 7000 THB per month to file monthly social security forms and keep monthly books (there are no books to keep as the company does not have any business). The virtual office is asking for $100 per month on a yearly contract and the month social security payments are 2800THB for 4 employees. Please advise if I am being overcharged and if yes, are there any recommended service providers. thanks for all your help. Currently the virtual office is located in Bangkok.

Paying "your" staff on the new minimum wage around 9000 you would pay a bit under 800 baht per person social security. No tax on a salary under 10k and presumably you're an exempt director.

Further to that you can pick up an accountant for 1,500 a month if you go one man/woman Thai operation. Or do it yourself online.

However you need the latest monthly income statements to extend your work permit and/or apply for a new one

Social sounds about right.

Virtual office sounds ok.

Accounts filing fees: Sure could get cheaper but would be very expensive if you went too cheap and got someone who doesnt 100% understand the current requirements and isnt actively looking out for your best interests. Very easy to ignore things (incorrect receipts etc) which despite not critical will cost you money. But then for 7k they still may not do whats best for you.

Almost sounds like you have bought a business but not actually running a business. If this is for a visa then a very expensive option. If it is a genuine business then gotta pay what you gotta pay.
