wolf5370
Guess it means three ranks of moped for 200 metres each side again now (and local shops charging 20b to park outside!)

BlackArtemis
Actually.. the current spicy, is spicy 3. The first one was an open air place around the back.. it was really quite ok in those days.. about 10 years ago. Then spicy 2 which was just up from mikes Now spicy 3. So which one are they re-opening? I assume spicy 2.. which was a horrlble place that smelt like a mix of stale beer and ghonorreah Not to be confused with the short lived "Spicy 2" found on the corner at the turn for the metal bridge near Duke's. WinnieTheKhwai
Yeah.. Chiang Mai's Thermae, that's a good comparison, and indeed also a coffee shop, by name. Though after Thermae changed it was never the same after that. Sort of a desperate kind of single's club, not the party place that Spicy can be on good nights; Spicy got more of a mix of people, including regular tourists who didn't want to go home yet at whatever time the constabulary thought bars had to close for any given week. dave2
re When the old spicy closed, a for-sale was put up outside. I phoned and the owner is/was an old lady living in Bangkok who wanted 22 million for the building the sign said 11.4 million she heard you coming : ( dave2
jaideeguy
The appropriate name should be 'Leftovers', as that's the patronage.....leftover girls and leftover guys.
