April 18, 201313 yr Google: Thai Gold Price and you'll find a site at the top with a current price ticker. Hua Hang Seng in Bangkok has an app for your phone. Head to China town or some of the shops are Nimm Rd. if you want bullion. I usually see 10baht and under bars there. If you get it pretty with designs on it, they will up the price anywhere from 200 - 800 more per baht depending on the store, in addition to their normal fee of 50 - 100 per baht for selling it to you. All the shops have current gold prices on the wall, however, not all of them are current. Nor do they care. So look around, take your phone or tablet with you if you want real time prices.
April 19, 201313 yr The largest concentration of gold shops in CM I believe are located in the Chinese Market. They should be very competitive in pricing with each other but until you get to know who/what etc best to compare prices with at least a couple before buying, or get an online quote first (know what you are willing to pay). My understanding is that all Thai gold shops get their pricing here http://www.goldtraders.or.th/ copied below. Top line pricing is buy/sell for Baht Bars, 2nd line pricing is buy/sell for gold jewelery. Thai gold is normally 96.5% pure. Thai gold is priced by the Baht (Thai money is also called Baht). 1 Baht of gold is slightly less than 1/2 oz - or - 2 Baht of gold just under 1 oz.
