Chiang Mai Accom

Featured Replies

Hi looking for someone to recommend a double room in a guesthouse or hotel for 200-500 range. Basically I want something with a working fast wifi connection, quiet, unattended entrance and thick walls so I can bring guests back to.
Thanks

Grantsmoth,

I think you'll find this a difficult task. Most places have attended entrances and the walls are rarely very thick. You might be better off finding a place that is accustomed to entertaining the "party" crowd. Internet in CM is pretty decent for the most part no matter where you are. Many cafe's offer wifi that will allow for a decent Skype session. Good luck!

Basically any place that calls itself a guesthouse but actually resembles an apartment building. There's usually someone in attendance, but many of these don't mind if you bring a friend as long as you have a double room. For example Chiang Mai Kristi house, which would be closer to the 200 baht mark.

Or for something nicer (by a lot), check out http://www.bautonglodge.com/ ; that's closer to the upper range of your budget. Again there's some chick sleeping in the reception area just in case guests arrive late at night, but again no issues if you're not by yourself.

200 baht for A guesthouse?Does it have A bed?I've heard of cheap places.

Yes, it does have a bed. And a bathroom. And a wardrobe. And a vanity mirror desk.

This is Chiang Mai, and you can spend what you want.

Lanna guest house in anusan night market 500 baht with air hot water and wifi does have a guard but usually sleeping no charge for guest ....
