That's what you get when you vote socialist, first a 75% income tax on the wealthy, and then the tax revenues are used to push trough gay marriage. bah.gif

This is the wrong place to discuss taxation policies.

Back to the gay marriage part of it, is there an international pattern where the governments that tend to pass gay marriage rights legislation USUALLY tend to be more progressive?

I think yes probably so.

That certainly doesn't mean that every progressive/leftist government in the world is making progress on gay marriage rights though!

In any case, the numbers of countries with such legislation are starting to get impressive.

Reactionaries who still insist that marriage by definition is only man and woman have so many countries now directly refuting their retrograde thinking.

Ill informed on both counts.

The proposed tax is on companies, not "the wealthy" and as it has yet to be approved or applied there have obviously been no "revenues" from it yet that could be used for anything.

From an economic point of view, legalizing gay marriage is a good stimulant.

People doing wedding parties, household formations, divorce lawyers, gay tourism, etc.
