Deary me, what a hissy fit that was. Have i caught you at the wrong time of the month, or are you always this jumped up and aggressive?

Anyway, putting all the tourettes outbursts from that post to one side, can't really fathom what you are saying or how any of it relates to the point i was making. Certainly what i said had nothing whatsoever to do with the Evra incident. For you to think that shows how far beyond any rational or logical thought process you have gone. No point discussing things further.

Thank God for that. These references back and forth get right on my nerves. My opinion changes day to day as I receive information, please don't go searching for past posts that will mean nothing to me today. yesterday i didn't like cake, today i have discovered I like blueberry dunking donuts; who would have believed it

When i said, "no point discussing things further", i meant specifically with members here who can't do so without name-calling fits and tantrums. That's all.

As for what gets on your nerves and the things you don't want posted, do you not think that you post things from time to time that get on other people's nerves? Do you not think there are things that you post that other people would prefer you to not? Are you going to change the way you post because someone else tells you they don't like it, or because they call you a cock sure limp-wristed pathetic ignoramus?

I think chances are we all get on each others nerves from time to time. Post things that annoy each other. Think it is something we have to live with on an open and public forum, providing a degree of civility and mutual respect is maintained beneath the banter.

Why is it that I imagine you thumb to nose wiggling your fingers spouting " I told you so". My point is not that I think we all need to agree on things, it is that going back through posts, dredging up past statements is pointless. I believe right now that whatever happens in the league, whether we qualify for champions league or not (cue a few posts with bold letters typed by sniggering pseudo intellectuals), Suarez will leave at the end of the season. By the end of the season I may have changed my mind. It does not make me a liar or a fool, it means my outlook and perspective have been changed by new, relevant, information. That is how we learn and develop. Post what you want... I will, but realise that quoting old posts is not research; it's retarded.

Carmine complains about gay porn references and immediately an onslaught of Japanese inspired straight porn references. tongue.png

As Longstebe has fixed my post and Liverpool are now nailed on for Champions league football next season I feel compelled to introduce Brendan to a bit of rimming! It's only fair.

A few posts back, in making a point, BangkokBob quoted a past statement he "dredged up" from what AVB stated months ago in June. Was BangkokBob "retarded" to have done that? If not, please tell me why not. What's the difference? Is there a rule in all this retardation criteria business of yours that says we are allowed to quote what a manager has said months ago, but not what each other has said?

How we learn and develop is by recognizing things that have happened in the past, things that have been said, things that have been done. That's not saying that we can't change our opinions by what happens in the present. Of course we can, but we'd be foolish to forget the past, or to not consider it.

Anybody who goes digging for past references based on opinion is the same to me, though stated fact could be different. Let's live in the present (as LFC fans it is harder for us than most), it is after all where we are. I agree that we would be foolish to forget the past, and every single one of my favourite memories lie there.

However, I disagree about us only learning and developing from the past. Learning really comes from the latest developments in thinking and science. We did not learn how to build sky scrapers from building mud huts, and we did not learn how to build super cars from shackling an ox to a cart. We may glean an idea from such things but is that really the same thing as learning? Actually trial and error is probably a better argument for development, and we all seem to do that an awful lot.

The truly great thinkers in history have not developed and idea from something else, they have thought about things that nobody else has ever considered. De Vinci, Newton and Einstein are people who have done this. I once had a great idea about making Som Tham with Lao Khao to appease the farmers, but I don't think it counts. We will need to agree to disagree on this as I believe we learn through new info, whereas you seem to think learning is about reflection. I believe reflection shows us how to improve but gives us nothing new.

Mega post...I'm off to bed

If you cannot see the banter behind the post (as i believe Alfie would have), then it is you who are ridiculous,

"Being able to find fault with oneself is a measure of a confident man, to try to find fault where there is none is the measure of the weak"

I didn't say we only learn and develop from the past, i said we would be foolish to forget it or not consider it.

The vast majority of members here, who have been here any time, will have at some time or other, posted quoted comments made from the past, be it comments made by people in the press, or be it comments made by people on here. I question anyone claims they haven't, and wonder if you are really so sure you haven't yourself at some time or other? (I would search back through your posts and find an example of when you have, except that proving you guilty of the "retarded" act would mean me having to commit it in the process. Quite a catch 22 that one.)

Anyway, with the current lull in name-calling and deviant sex act posts we are enjoying (well i am, obviously can't speak for others), perhaps an opportune moment to draw a line under this particular line of discussion, and a time to get back to things more directly football, more directly Liverpool, it being the Liverpool thread...

Us Liverpool fans are a forgiving bunch!

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

Mahatma Gandhi

& Mahatma followed LFC home & away!

Just the kind of quote you would expect from a suspected paedo.............not you MM, Gandhi.

haha oh dear just when we thought things might get back on track….biggrin.png

Have I missed anything ? Let's see: gay sex, bukkake, rimming, Gandhi the pedophile, debatable slurs towards Jews.

Sounds like a Rooney holiday.whistling.gif

Daniel Sturridge didn't finish training this morning with a "lingering thigh niggle" yet Hodgson says he's fine to start tomorrow night. If he doesn't play on Saturday…

indeed. i will hunt hodgson down and kill him.

Maybe we could have a whip round and contract Jayroo for the hit.

Don't think he's been quite 100% since the season began.

It is rumored Rooney has a cross dressing cousin and apparently said cousin really pissed off Coleen when he asked to be a bridesmaid at their wedding!!
