FIFA's decision to extend it to domestic may open a can of worms.

Liverpool management may be not happy.

Apparently the ban is for all football related activity, so i think that also

means he can't even go to the training ground to stay match fit for the

four months.

Why should Liverpool be punished?

Yeah. That's what I was thinking whilst trying to follow USA Germany, and Ghana Portugal games.

Half time.

I think Uruguay and Liverpool will appeal.

But appeal doesn't mean Suarez can play anymore in Brazil i don't think.

Know more tomorrow.

Yeah I'm watching US match, wishing Suarez had bitten a Costa Rican, or just took his frustrations out with a nasty tackle

Apparently only Uruguay can appeal....that doesn't make sense either.

Why couldn't FIFA allow Liverpool to impose any sanctions on Suarez (as a gesture) not that I believe he should be punished by Liverpool as this is an International thing.FIFA are a joke applying the 2 together .

Anyway Liverpool are going to review the reports & follow up accordingly .I can see a legal minefield being exposed.

Why should Liverpool be punished?

Liverpool has been punished indirectly because the punishment is solely on

Luis Suarez irrelevant to any club he plays for as it's a worldwide ban on him.

When he got banned in England, the FA imposed the ban under their rules that cover

only the FA in England, whereas FIFA rules cover the game worldwide.

So any player involved in an incident during an International match come under the FIFA

ruling.

P45, your staunch defence of Suarez right across the forum, has not gone unnoticed. Can I ask 'why' such support for him.?

Very tough upbringing. Became one of the best footballers in the world.

Sounds like he's a good lad by all accounts. Apart from when he's in a sh!t or bust "I gotta win this".

Fabulous season under Rodgers. No trouble, even in the highly competitive premier league.

So what happened in Brazil?

A very dirty game with the Italians all the way through the match. They were probably looking for it.

Really not sure how any of that gives him the want or need to invariably bite a chunk out of players.

I doesn't....!!!

You've answered enough for me though.

Why should Liverpool be punished?

Fair point but i suppose he's your cross to bear.

What sort of a tosser goes about biting people. Three times now! He looks an absolute yet he doesn't even seem to know it.

His actions have also probably cost Liverpool fc a fortune in the transfer market let alone losing their best player until november.....again!

Surely he can go and play in Transylvania?

It's going to be interesting, that's for sure.

Maybe he'll go to Barcelona and bang goals in without any trouble like he did last season at Liverpool.

( I think he was provoked by the press before the WC, and the Italians knew how to light the touch paper.)

Can't see the likes of Barca and Real Madrid being remotely interested anymore. You have to remember, this is his third indiscretion. The guys a tool and an embarrassment.

Have been having a serious re-think on Luis ` actions , altho` very childish , hardly life-threatening , if he had head-butted this guy & broke his jaw ok , long ban , but to do something that you need a magnifying glass to see the damage this ban is way over the top . Beginning to believe if he now signs for Barca , this has all been manipulated by him , his agent & Barca . Altho I am a lifelong LFC fan if we can get 50 mill plus Alexis Sanchez we would be crazy to turn it down . We have

a few great years out of this boy but now the time is right to say thank you Luis & good luck for the future .

Its not ott because its a third time offense. btw, were you aware of the 16 yo Luis Suarez head butting an official. Got another ban then too. Think Mr Henry must be seriously rueing that new contract given to Suarez because like it or not you are stuck with him. Well, maybe PSG will put in annoffer but not one of the elite clubs, theres just too much baggage.

Interesting, it seems many Liverpool fans are taking the absurd Uruguayan line and defending the indefensible. What that all about?!

How come he scored 30 plus in the Prem with Rodgers missing the first part of the season?

Driven mate, driven.

He'll either go totally off the edge, or he will be unstoppable.

My bet is the latter.

The Brits love humility. If he came out with a big apology, dedicated himself to Liverpool and adopted a grin and bear it attitude to the oursole British football hacks it could be win win for him, Liverpool and fans of football.

Unfortunately I suspect he will now take the oursoles of the Uruguayan press as his justification to peddle his delusions in Spain.

Wish him good luck for the future? Takes a flawed character to wish a flawed character good luck (P45 biggrin.png)

Hopefully some good comes from this appeal. Ridiculous the way we've been punished. Uruguay lose him for 9 matches......we lose him for 13.......dead normal!!!

They are punishing the individual who just happens to play for Uruguay and Liverpool, perhaps your management should have used their noddle and got rid of him when they got the chance and then you wouldn't be moaning !

Bore off Santi and change the record. "Brits" love humity and a grin and bear attitude! <deleted> are you talking about and what ridiculous stereotyping. You do come out with some right cobblers pal. Oh well.

Anyway, lets put it into perspective. He hasn't committed murder, rape, he's just gone and bitten a player again for the third time, it what can only be described as stupendous stupidity and for the third offense has has just been given a correct and lengthy ban. In doing this, the architect of his own downfall has yet again let down the club, manager and fans that have loyally stood by him.

So no, i don't think anyone necessarily wants an apology or humility, no grin and ear, the time for that is well past. he just has to be judged by his future actions on the pitch to restore the faith and goodwill offered him.

And finish outside the top 4.......again............nar, great move keeping a hold of him. Hopefully he'll be a part of the Southampton game at home next season.

I think it's more about showing remorse Carms. If you have remorse it's a sign that you accept you have done wrong. Only once you accept you have done wrong can you learn to not repeat it.

Suarez still thinks he hasn't done anything wrong and the fact that the rest of the Uruguay team also think the same, will not help him.
